Seeking a full timeRN for the Neonatal ICU. 7p-7 : 30a x 3 shifts / week (36 hrs / week).Holiday and weekend rotation mandatory.
HourlyRange : $36.73 -$60.93
- Implementsphysician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performstreatments, procedures and special tests, and document treatment asrequired by company policy and local / state / federal rules andregulations.
- Orders, interprets, and evaluatesdiagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' conditions.
- Assesses and evaluates patient needs for, and responses to,care rendered.
- Applies sound nursing judgment inpatient care management decisions.
- Provides primaryand emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuriesand illnesses.
- Administers over-the-counter andprescription medications as ordered.
- Collaborates withthe nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
- Directs and guides ancillary personnel and maintainstandards of professional nursing.
MinimumQualifications
- Graduate of a professional academicnursing program in which a Diploma, Associate Degree orBaccalaureate Degree is conferred
- Must hold currentNYS Registered Nurse license
- Obtains and maintainscertification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and NeonatalResuscitation Program (NRP)
- Excellent communication,prioritization, organizational and time-management skills
- Possesses knowledge of quality concepts, principles, andproblem-solving tools and techniques and demonstrates ability toapply in support of departmental and patient care qualityimprovement.
