Position Summary :

The research-based position will support a new NIH R01 intervention study that will provide behavioral counseling using evidence-based behavior change techniques (e.

g., problem-solving, self-regulation, motivation) to counsel older adults with obesity and multiple chronic health conditions in both group and individual sessions using a telemedicine approach.

This position may also assist with participation in program planning, setting standards and procedures for study participants.

This position will also be responsible for delivering intervention content with in-person and virtual visits.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the field assigned and one year of related training or experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience :

Ability to trouble-shoot and resolve quality control issues by changing processes. Attention to detail and the ability to deliver a high quality product is critical.

Candidate must be willing to support a flexible schedule to meet department and study needs; occasional travel work may be required.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience :

Having experience in a research setting is preferred but not required.
