The Product Owner is responsible for managing the product backlog and ensuring that development tasks align with the product vision and business goals.

They work closely with the development team to deliver high-quality products that meet customer needs.

The main objective of the Product Owner is to maximize the value of the product by prioritizing and refining user stories, ensuring that the development team has clear and actionable tasks.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategic Planning : Collaborate closely with the Product Manager, fellow Product Owners, and stakeholders to translate strategic goals into detailed and actionable product requirements.

Ensure that the product backlog is continuously updated to reflect the strategic direction and priorities of the company.

Product Development : Manage the day-to-day development process by defining detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.

Ensure that each product increment meets quality standards and delivers customer value.

• Stakeholder Management : Serve as the primary interface between stakeholders and the development team. Communicate product progress, gather and incorporate feedback, and adjust priorities to meet stakeholder needs.
• Market Analysis : Support the Product Manager in understanding market trends and customer requirements. Use this information to help prioritize the product backlog and ensure the product stays competitive.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities :

Product Backlog Management : Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring it is up-to-date and reflects current priorities.

Write clear, detailed user stories that guide the development team and address large company roadmap items and immediate customer needs.

Team Collaboration : Work closely with the other product owners, product management, and development team leads to ensure they understand the product goals and requirements.

Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and review meetings to keep the team aligned and productive.

Data Analysis : Analyze data from product usage and customer feedback to inform backlog priorities and refine user stories.

Use data-driven insights to make quick, tactical decisions about product development.

• Problem-Solving : Identify and resolve issues that arise during the development process. Work with the development team to remove obstacles and ensure the project stays on track.
• Testing / QA : Perform final testing on all development items which affect your product ownership area. Providing informative feedback to engineers for any needed adjustments.

Qualifications

Skills and Abilities :

• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in agile methodologies and tools such as Jira and Figma.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to make data-driven decisions and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to motivate and guide the development team.

Education and Experience :

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field preferred
• 3+ years experience in a Product Owner, Product Manager position or related field required
• Proven track record of delivering successful products in an Agile environment.
• Experience working in a SaaS, healthcare technology / IT, or healthcare B2B environment highly preferred
• Experience working in a startup environment is desirable
