Overview :
The RN - Cath Lab plays a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and support within the Cath Lab during the weekdays.
This position is vital for ensuring the smooth operation of the Cath Lab and delivering exceptional patient experiences.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform complex diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Monitor patients' vital signs and condition during procedures
- Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Administer medications and manage intravenous lines as needed
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards
- Document patient assessment, interventions, and outcomes
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Participate in emergency response and code teams
- Maintain and calibrate equipment used in the Cath Lab
Required Qualifications :
- Active RN license in the state of practice
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Experience in a Cath Lab or critical care setting
- Strong understanding of cardiac procedures and medications
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to work flexible hours and participate in on-call rotations
- Ability to handle and respond to emergency situations effectively
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
- Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration capabilities
