RegisteredNurse Residency Program will begin in February2024
Our 12-month, comprehensive,transition-to-practice program facilitates your progress fromstudent to professional nurse through education, mentorship andpeer support.
Our Nurse Residency Programprepares new graduate nurses by teaching the knowledge, skills andbehaviors that are necessary to continuously improve quality andsafety at the point of care.
It combines precepted orientation, ledby dedicated preceptors, with blended learningexperiences.
Nurse residents will :
- develop the clinical judgment needed to rapidlyrecognize a change in patient's condition and the urgency of aclinical situation
- cultivate excellentcommunication skills, allowing them to engage with colleagues andsupport patients
- enjoy cohort experiencesdesigned to promote peer and professional socialization andstrengthen your professional commitment tonursing
- learn didactic content specificallytailored to new graduates from professional nursingorganizations

RESPONSIBLE FOR : The Staff Nurse provides nursing care to patients from birththrough the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan,implement, and evaluate the care for patients.
He / she functionswithin the framework of the policies and procedures of theorganization and demonstrates professional growth andaccountability.
The staff nurse is responsible for maintainingstandards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of allassigned staff in the provision of quality nursingcare.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED :
Graduateof a nursing program
MINIMUM EXPERIENCEREQUIRED :
New Graduates of a nursing programeligible
MINIMUM LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONREQUIRED BY LAW :
Current License in the Stateof Georgia as a Registered Nurse
BLScertification required.
ADDITIONALQUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor's degreepreferred
