As a Communications Specialist at BIO, you will be responsible for crafting and delivering clear, compelling messages across various platforms to support the organization’s mission and goals.

You will play a key role in managing internal and external communications, creating content, and supporting public relations initiatives.

Your efforts will help to enhance BIO's brand, engage stakeholders, and promote the biotechnology industry’s advancements.

Responsibilities : 1. Content Creation

1. Content Creation

  • Develop and produce content for press releases, newsletters, social media, website updates, and other communication channels.
  • Collaborate with various departments to create messaging that aligns with BIO’s strategic goals.

2. Media Relations

  • Assist in managing media relationships, including responding to media inquiries and organizing press events.
  • Draft press materials and support the execution of media campaigns to raise awareness about BIO’s initiatives.

3. Internal Communications

  • Coordinate and create content for internal communications to keep BIO staff informed about organizational updates and initiatives.
  • Support internal events and announcements, ensuring consistent and effective messaging.

4. Social Media Management

  • Help manage BIO’s social media presence, including creating posts, monitoring engagement, and responding to inquiries.
  • Track and report on social media metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and initiatives.

5. Public Relations Support

  • Support the execution of public relations strategies to enhance BIO’s public image and promote the biotechnology industry.
  • Assist in organizing public events, conferences, and webinars.

6. Stakeholder Engagement

  • Engage with stakeholders, including members, partners, and the public, to promote BIO’s mission and activities.
  • Provide support in managing communication channels that enhance member engagement and satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in communications, public relations, or a similar role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital communication tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with content management systems (CMS).
