THE ROLE :

Established in 2023, New Carrot Company, operating under the name Bolthouse Fresh Foods, is headquartered in the California Central Valley community of Bakersfield.
Specializing in carrot production, the company caters to both retail and food service operations and is renowned for its Bolthouse Farms brand, widely distributed in major retailers across the United States and Canada.
Bolthouse Fresh Foods is a subsidiary of Butterfly Equity, a Los Angeles-based private equity firm with a specialty in the food sector.
Butterfly Equity's expertise spans the entire food value chain, from 'seed to fork,' with a focus on agriculture & aquaculture, food & beverage products, food distribution, and foodservice.

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE
The Receptionist will attend to visitors, address inquires over the phone and face to face, provide excellent and helpful customer service and assist with administrative duties
JOB DUTIES :
- Greet and assist all visitors entering the organization
- Answer telephones and transfer to appropriate staff member
- Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of client, staff and agency information
- Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes and email
- Calculate and secure postage to all outgoing mail and prepares Fed Ex labels
- Perform general clerical duties to include, but not limited to, copying, faxing, mailing and filing
- Prepare letters, documentation, and VOE’s as needed
- Support staff in assigned project based work and assists with special requests
- Assists in special events and ensures VIP guests are accommodated, i.e. auditors
- Maintains a filing system, both on paper and electronic, for the HR team
- Assist in pre-screening applications and assists candidates with any questions / clarifications
- Create employee badges
- Assists HRIS with ADP employment data
- Assist with managing calendar for conference room other duties, if needed
- Other duties as assigned by management
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Minimum Qualifications :
- High School Diploma or equivalent; six months to one-year related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bilingual (English / Spanish)
- Valid California Driver License and clean driving record
Required Skills And Abilities :
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs : Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Access
- Ability to successfully organize work and completed multiple tasks simultaneously
- Punctuality, dependability and good attendance required
- Excellent interpersonal and directive skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must have excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to handle confidential information with the utmost integrity
Preferred Qualifications :
Two to three years of Admin and / or HR experience
PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
- Occasionally will be pushing / lifting 25 pounds
- Must be able to sit for an extended period during work period
