Description : SUMMARY
SUMMARY
The Software Engineer II position analyzes, designs, implements, troubleshoots, modifies, documents, and enhances software tools and web applications both for internal and external use.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, document, develop, test, and support software applications for a wide variety of internal and external use cases.
- Develop and document software design in a team environment to improve efficiency.
- Debug and test implementations to ensure the software functions properly.
- Resolve trouble tickets and document actions and resolutions for reference.
- Work closely with the Quality Assurance department to maintain a high level of stability.
- Communicate with other department personnel to gather project requirements and verify product satisfaction.
- Use professional judgment to resolve problems.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements :
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
1. B.S. in computer science, mathematics, or related technical discipline; equivalent work experience and / or technical training will be considered in lieu of a degree
2. 3+ years' professional experience in software development or related field including analysis, design, and implementation
3. 3+ years’ experience in web development
4. Web development experience. Such as : HTML / CSS, JavaScript, React / Redux, frontend frameworks, and UI / UX
5. Utilizing REST web services to build API’s
6. Experience with backend programming languages. Such as : Java, Golang, C++,.C#
7. Experience designing and using SQL databases. Such as : Postgres, MS SQL
8. Proficiency in troubleshooting, maintaining, and debugging complex programs essential
9. Strong knowledge of development and testing tools and environments, including Integrated Development Environments, Source Control Clients, Database Query Analyzers, Unit Testing Frameworks, Library Frameworks, etc.
10. Ability to work independently or with a team in a fast-paced environment with a flexible, detail oriented, and positive attitude
11. Excellent written and oral communication skills
