Senior Mechanical Engineer

Purpose

To quote / estimate / make sure of Scope of work of the overhaul including parts manufacturing based on incoming inquiries, site surveys, and clarification meetings.

Once we get the P / O, you are required to prepare the scope of work and provide technical support to the engineering teams and operation teams including communication with subcontractors and making the CAD drawings.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand the importance and follow all HSE (Health, Safety and Environmental) guidelines.
• Follow up with the company's Compliance Procedures and complete in a timely fashion all requested Compliance Training.

Overhaul and Repair Work

• Receive inquiries of overhaul and repair from the sales section.
• Thoroughly study the incoming overhaul inquiry.
• Prepare overhauling cost estimation and get approval from the Production manager.
• Follow up on customer requirements and provide additional repair costs.
• Make a recommended spare parts list and schedule of work.
• Transfer technical information to related persons such as QC teams and Operation teams in charge after receiving P.O.
• Conduct research and create design proposals for projects.
• Report results to the Engineering manager as requested.

Technical Service

• Visit customers to support Sales activity & reply to technical questions.
• Make technical specifications clear and notify customers of deviations from the specifications.
• Provide technical support to territory sales.
• Provide technical solutions to customers.
• Investigate and resolve product quality complaints. Provide feedback to manufacturing facilities for improvements in product quality and service.
• Examine and interpret experimental data, draw valid conclusions, and ensure all information captured is documented and made available for internal use and Intellectual Property purposes.
• Establish design briefs.
• Create concepts, performance, and production criteria.
• Produce final hand drawings and specifications.
• Identify and select materials needed for production.
• Request input and feedback from supervisors and fellow associates when technical problems occur or project timelines are threatened;

ensure all project objectives are thoroughly understood.

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree with a minimum of 5 - 10 years' experience in the pump business. Other than the above Training courses in SELECTRON, Centrifugal Maintenance, Electroplating, SIFCO Selective plating.
