Position Overview
As Assistant Cook, you will support kitchen operations, assist in meal preparation, and help maintain a safe and efficient food service environment.
You'll work alongside our kitchen team to ensure quality meal service while helping to train and guide beneficiaries in food service skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to menu schedules
- Ensure food is prepared and ready at designated service times
- Supervise and guide kitchen helpers during assigned shifts
- Maintain excellent kitchen cleanliness standards in compliance with OSHA and food service regulations
- Monitor and enforce proper personal hygiene and appropriate attire standards
- Support the Resident Manager during evening / overnight shifts as needed
- Assist with additional duties as assigned by supervisor or Administrator
