Job Description

Israel Discount Bank of New York, a mid-size financial institution is looking for an international Private Banker to support the bank's strategic growth in the Florida region.

Ideally a banker that focuses on these Countries : Venezuela, Panama, Columbia, Peru and Costa Rica

Leverage expertise in wealth management and financial advisory to cater to the client, their family and business. Manage overall client relationship profitability and portfolio risk, and assume responsibility for profitable growth of the portfolio.

Private Bankers provide financial solutions by utilizing the capabilities within the bank as well as those of the outside providers.

Responsibilities

• Obtain, maintain and increase existing account relationships.
• Identifying potential new clients and working with them to build up a mutually beneficial and profitable relationship
• Bring a new book of business (Domestic and International clients)
• Building the balance sheet and P & L of their team
• Proactively advise and consult with clients, explaining the types of financial services available, educating them about investment options and potential risks and recommending investments
• Monitor the performance of client accounts, to ensure the accounts are behaving positively and meeting clients' needs
• Be well informed of market conditions and doing research to determine good opportunities to meet Private Banking revenue goals
• Work closely with Private Banking Assistants to serve client accounts effectively and efficiently
• Adherence and compliance with all policies, procedures, regulations, audit standards, and risk guidelines.
• The role involves approving opening of accounts, attending to client requests, monitoring of account activity, purchasing and selling securities through IDB Capital, and coordinating with the Associates to ensure all customer transactions are appropriately and timely processed.

Qualifications

• Experience with International private banking clients (Latin America)
• Experience with a BA in the field of Finance.
• Licenses : Series 7 and 66 / 63, Insurance or Mortgage a plus
• The candidate must be fluent in Spanish and English
• 8 + years' experience of credit and lending experience for high net worth individuals in Private Banking and / or Wealth Management
• Understanding of underwriting for business loans and real estate loans
• Knowledge of Federal lending regulations
• Strong understanding of banking, brokerage and lending products
• Experience in understanding the financial needs of High Net Worth clients
• Excellent business development and marketing skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage expectations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
