Overview :
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairs on injection molding equipment, robots, setups, changeovers, adjustments, maintenance, repair and operations of various types of assembly, subassembly, printing, and / or packaging machines.
The company scope includes scientific injection molding processing operations and automation equipment in the manufacture of components and devices into FDA regulated markets.
This is a high-speed and a controlled manufacturing environment (CME).
Shift & Pay :
- 1 opening on days (6am-6pm) 1 opening on nights (6pm-6am)
- 12 hour shifts 2 / 2 / 3
- 35 / hr (10% shift premium for night shift)
Responsibilities :
- Read, use and interpret measuring devices, gauges and inspection tools
- Perform all required necessary preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment
- Perform and document inspections per cGMP for work instruction sheet, on device history sheet records, and work instruction sheet tables
- Diagnose and troubleshoot any pneumatic, electrical or mechanical malfunction on a variety of machines
- Adjusts assembly machine units for major / minor lot production operations following department specification
- Repair and maintain electrical controls on equipment (molding, assembly and packaging machines), including servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines and devices primarily on the basis of electronic principles
- Repair robot arms and controls, including replacing bad boards, motors, encoders, etc.
- Perform weekly, monthly and as required preventive maintenance (PM)
- Must be able to fluently operate presses, robots and auxiliary equipment to diagnose malfunctions, and to verify repairs.
Required Education / Preferred Skills :
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3+ or more years of experience in a technical, hands-on position
- Experience with injection molding required
- Knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting (AB, Koyo, Omron, Mitsubishi, etc.)
- Experience in hydraulics and pneumatics required
