Plains End is a crucial energy facility featuring two integral units. Plains End I, with the capacity of 113 MW, commenced operations in May 2002 as a natural gas-fired reciprocating engine peaking facility, while Plains End II, boasting a 115 MW capacity, joined the energy landscape in May 2008 with a similar setup.

General Summary
The Office Administrator oversees all administrative operations within the plant. This role involves analyzing, planning, scheduling, and coordinating administrative tasks to guarantee the prompt execution of payroll, general accounting, and office procedures.
Additionally, they are responsible for implementing Human Resources policies and procedures at the plant.
Primary Functions
Human Resources
- Administer human resources programs and serves as liaison to NAES Corporate Human Resources Manager
- Process employee payroll and payroll reporting in accordance with corporate accounting procedures
- Reviews all incoming payroll-related documents.
- Coordinates, prepares, and processes payroll items (i.e., timesheets, relocation, labor charges, bonus, etc.). Identifies errors and ensures corrections are made as necessary
- Maintains accurate records of employee leave of absence, disability, and workers compensation claims
- Assists with hiring of plant personnel. Oversee the new employee orientation process.
- Administer the Fitness for Duty policy in accordance with policy, including scheduling employee testing and coordinating contractor testing
- Create the test requests and manage reporting for random, post-accident, and other Fitness for Duty testing
- Responsible for benefits administration of plant personnel in accordance with Corporate Human Resources requirements
Administrative
- Manage and control all NAES site policies and procedure revisions
- Ensure security of plant records, files and supplies and is responsible for procurement and coordinates the timely receiving of all administrative-related items
- Administer procedures for inventory maintenance and physical inventory via maintenance management program
- Provide customer with accurate and timely invoices, inventory summaries, budget variance reports and other requirements as requested by customer.
- Prepare and maintain all monthly sales and use taxes. Submit tax forms to state every month in a timely manner.
- Prepare and maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable in accordance with Corporate Accounting procedures and customer accounting software requirements.
- Oversee the issuance of purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and match vendor invoices with material packing lists to permit approval of vendor payments.
- Assist Plant Manager in identifying monthly O&M variances and preparing monthly reports
- Assist Plant Manager with coordinating audits and inspections

Working Relationships
The Plant Administrator reports to the Plant Manager and cooperates with all plant personnel relative to the accounting, Human Resources, and administrative processes.
Working Conditions
Some work may require protective equipment to be worn (hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection). There are smoking restrictions in and around the facility.
The site is strictly nonsmoking. Working conditions may include outside in cold and hot weather for periods of time.
Physical requirements may also include the possibility of standing on feet for extended periods requiring stair and ladder climbing.
Fitness for Duty
All employees will participate in the Fitness for Duty Program. This program includes a pre-employment drug screen and post-employment random drug screening.
Work Schedule
Regular scheduled workdays are Monday to Friday, during normal working hours. Position requires extended working hours with the possibility of weekend and holidays, as required by workload.
Compensation
Initial compensation will range from $29.33 to $41.11 per hour and will include an annual performance bonus.
Job Qualifications
Ability to understand procedures and instructions specific to the area of assignment as would be acquired in four years of high school
Demonstrated ability to process employee payroll accurately and efficiently in accordance with Corporate Accounting procedures, including a strong understanding of tax regulations and payroll reporting
Proficiency in administering procedures for inventory maintenance and conducting physical inventory counts to ensure accurate stock levels
A track record of providing customers with accurate and timely invoices and exceptional customer service, including addressing customer inquiries and requests promptly
Familiarity with benefits administration processes and the ability to manage benefits for plant personnel in accordance with Corporate Human Resources requirements
Competence in overseeing the issuance of purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and matching vendor invoices with material packing lists to facilitate vendor payment approvals
Proficient in assisting in plant budget preparation and monitoring, including the ability to analyze financial data and support budgetary decisions
Experience in administering policies such as Fitness for Duty, maintaining a clean and organized office and workplace, and ensuring adherence to corporate policies and procedures
Must possess a valid, in-state motor vehicle operator’s license at all times
