Job Description
IT SECURITY ANALYST , Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) (2 openings), to improve the security posture of the Institute through network monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, security awareness, and compliance-related work.
Will utilize multiple technologies to detect and respond to security incidents, recommending appropriate controls to MIT community members to mitigate threats and vulnerabilities.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED : bachelor's degree; five years of experience in cybersecurity or related field and at least three years' information security experience;
broad understanding of networking, security, and system administration concepts; experience with security tools (i.e., vulnerability scanners, endpoint detection and response, intrusion detection systems (IDS), security information and event management (SIEM), etc.
working knowledge of security best practices, threats, exploits, and trends across platforms; understanding of networking and system administration concepts and common log types;
understanding of common phishing techniques and experience analyzing email headers; and strong analytical and communication skills that support troubleshooting and problem-solving.
PREFERRED : related security certification (i.e., CISSP), proficiency with scripting languages (i.e., Python, Ruby, PERL, etc.
and end experience with ticketing systems (i.e., ServiceNow). Job #-10
