We are seeking a Linux / Unix Systems Engineer with a Secret Clearance to support the Defense Security Cooperative Agency.
This is a remote position, but candidate must be within 3 hours of Mechanicsburg, PA .
As a Linux / Unix System Administrator, You Will

A week in the life of a Linux / Unix Systems Engineer :
- Develop and execute solutions to enhance Linux / UNIX projects including End-of-Life upgrade and migration.
- Work closely with internal Network, Windows, and AWS Cloud Teams as well as external partners including DISA.
- Provide Tier II and Tier III engineering, development, testing, and production environment support.
- Responsible for full Life Cycle support of On-Premised hosted Systems / Applications.
- Review, evaluate, and fine-tunes system performance for Mission Systems / Applications.
- Monitor the environment to ensure they meet customer requirements.
- Coordinate problem resolution with customers, teammates, and vendors.
- Evaluate new and existing system software / hardware and recommends changes.
- Provide management with status of project.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years experience as a Linux / UNIX Systems Engineer.
- 1+ year experience coordinating projects with DISA.
- Strong knowledge in Networks and Windows systems.
- Experience managing complex technical projects.
- DoD Secret or Top Secret Clearance.
- CompTIA Security + certification.
- Experience with Ansible.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $110 - 135k.
Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
