Position Summary
A Fuel Technician is responsible for Installing, operating, and maintaining integrated fuel cell systems.
Performance of several daily tasks including but not limited to general maintenance and inspections.
Responsibilities and Duties :
- Perform IT, mechanical and structural repairs to fuel related facilities
- Install, troubleshoot and service convenience store networking, including running cable, programming routers, and establishing connectivity to credit networks
- Install, calibrate, test fuel dispenser and associated equipment
- Install, program, and service point of sale systems for convenience stores
- Troubleshoot, repair, and service fuel dispenser and associated equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair point of sale systems
- Schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance and annual certification of fuel station equipment
- Read, interpret, and follow instructions and operations manuals
- Observe and comply with all company safety policies and procedures
- Perform the job duties in a safe and sensible manner in accordance with all company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations
- When necessary, respond to emergency repairs and provide afterhours support needed

Education and Work Experience
- Maintenance Technician Experience
- Valid driver’s license
- HS Diploma or Equivalent Preferred
- Knowledge of safety practices and procedures
- Gilbarco Fueling System Preferred
- Wayne Fueling System Preferred
- Veeder- Root System Preferred
- Verifone Systems Preferred
- ICC certifications Preferred

- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be customer service oriented.
- Ability to meet or exceed the company’s attendance and punctuality standards.
- Ability to evaluate objectively, fairly, and consistently.
- Ability to use common tools.
- Ability to understand and follow directions as given.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Use miscellaneous office equipment (e.g. calculators, typewriters, computers, FAX machines, copiers, etc.).
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to talk or hear.
- The incumbent frequently is required to use hands, fingers, handle or feel objects, tools and controls.
- The incumbent is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The incumbent may regularly lift and / or move heavy hoses and other equipment regularly.
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
