The facility in Mishawaka, Indiana, is a keystrategic growth site for Point of Care. It is a reagent manufacturing facilitywith a high degree of automation.

Mishawaka manufactures the reagent productsthat support Point of Care’s world leading status in Decentralized UrineAnalysis and Diabetes Care.

In addition, Mishawaka has been chosen as thereagent manufacturing site for our new world first product, in our CriticalCare franchise, VTLi, within the Cardiac product line.

The first reagent fromthis portfolio is planned to launch in FY22 as the first high sensitivitytroponin test at the point of care, with a lab equivalent test result in just 8minutes with a fingerstick sample.

To support the anticipated growth, Point ofCare have committed to investing significant capital over the next 5 years withfacility development and additional automated manufacturing lines.

In the role of Senior Financial Analyst, important activities includemonthly reporting and forecasting, cost center analysis, material varianceanalysis, and budgeting.

Effective self-review, communication, teamwork, and afocus on internal and external customers are all required. Cost accounting withSAP in manufacturing industry is required.

Excellent MS Excel skills are a must. Asthis role is expected to grow into controller position, knowledge of managerialaccounting and Power BI will have significant advantage.

Jobduties may be modified or expanded, but typical assignments include :

Month endclose and monthly reporting :

• Ensure alignment of reporting in Jedox and SAP P41
• Lead department KPI reporting and variance analysis
• Work with department leaders and reflect KPIs into financialforecast of the plant.
• Compile accurate internal reporting package by establisheddeadline each month
• Prepare high-level PowerPoint presentation and meet withmanufacturing team each month to effectively communicate results, trends, andconcerns from projections
• Work with team on productivity reporting, facilitate estimates forpipeline ideas, review project calculations for accuracy, and update financialand status information in reporting system

Spend and material varianceanalysis :

• Analyze manufacturing costs, including payroll, purchase orders,and allocations. Provide and effectively communicate meaningful explanationsfor variances to budget and forecast and prior year, and identify and work withbusiness partners on improvement opportunities
• Analyze, in detail, material costs and labor / overhead applicationfor variances to standards and provide summarized explanations.

Work withoperations personnel to understand variances, mitigate risks, and identifyopportunities in production process

• Track and accurately report on project scrap and other costs
• Support project implementation with financial analysis and masterdata review and update
• Track spend and manufacturing orders at daily basis. Work withdepartment leadership to proactively solve issues, if any.

Budgeting and forecasting :

• Coordinate and consolidate cost center spend information forbudget process
• Calculate and communicate allocation information
• Determine annual production costs and standards
• Compile P&L, volume, spend, headcount, capital expenditure,and inventory projections
• Ensure all schedules tie to each other and are consistent withcommunicated assumptions
• Generate accurate schedules for annual budget package and formonthly forecasts and distribute within established deadlines
• Generate and monitor monthly projections and identify andeffectively communicate all material variances to budget / forecast
• Ensure effective two-way communication with operations team toalign projections with trends, underlying factors, and expected exceptions
• Load budgets and forecasts in various systems and ensure alignmentbetween systems
• Complete cost roll in budget and maintain standard cost duringfiscal year.

The position is in Mishawaka, IN and reports to the FinanceDirector at the Mishawaka site. The department supports manufacturingoperations.

Job family specific responsibilities :

This position analyzes financial results to determine accuracy andcompleteness of information, prepares various financial reports, compiles andreviews financial plans and budgets, ensures compliance with budgetallocations, performs financial analysis at complex levels including rate ofreturn, depreciation, working capital, investments, budgeting, and financialand expense performance comparisons, ensures conformance to IFRS and SOArequirements, and may perform commercial / contract activities, pricing, margincalculations, etc.

Excellent verbal andwritten communication, presentation, and leadership skills and ability to workwith all levels of management are required.

Education :

BS / BA in related discipline or equivalent combination of educationand experience

Advanced degree in related discipline is a plus

Certification for accounting, financial analysis or relateddiscipline a plus :

Demonstrates high professional judgment competence. Changesexisting ways and approaches. Impact on results in larger organization.

Well established in external and internal networks withinspecialist field. Proactively shares knowledge in a systematic way in largerorganization to grow know-how base and supports a learning organization.

Experience :

5+ years of successful experience in cost accounting area ofmanufacturing industry. SAP knowledge and experience are must to this role.

Must demonstrate successful experience of working with functionalpartners to improve process and enhance efficiency.

Must demonstrate strong capability of handling challenges andpressures under dynamic situation.

Direction of Others :

May provide general guidance or train support and / or professionalstaff
