Description
Summary :
Provide administrative support duties to include assistingwith department process improvement, back-up to manager, maintainsupplies, coordinate schedules and meetings, and participate intraining / in-services for clinical staff.
Responsibilities :
- Maintains daily operations ofclinic.
- Keeps manager informed of any issueswith patients, staff or physicians that are beyond their comfortlevel or are questionable.
- Orders departmentaland medical supplies.
- Responsible forequipment maintenance / repair.
- Conscientious ofmaintaining budget / spending (confers withmanager).
- Monitors quality control standards(immunization logs, waived testing, drug sample logs, equipmentsterilization logs, etc).
- Resolves lesscomplicated patient, staff and physicianissues.
- Assist s with evaluating associateperformance and recommends merit increases (managerdisciplines).
- Reports to manager any associatenon-compliance with approved policies.
- Monitors associate work schedule and PTO requests maintainsappropriate staff coverage.
- Makes sure NCHDreferrals are appropriate.
- Assists staff asneeded
- Follows the CHRISTUS PhysicianGroup guidelines related to the Health Insurance Portability andAccountability Act (HIPAA), designed to prevent or detectunauthorized disclosure of Protected Health Information(PHI).
- Maintains strictconfidentiality.
- Uses oral and writtencommunication skills to effectively convey ideas in a clear,positive manner that is consistent with the CHRISTUSMission.
- Maintains established CHRISTUSPhysician Group policies, procedures, objectives, qualityassurance, safety, environmental and infectioncontrol.
- Implements job responsibilities in amanner that is consistent with the CHRISTUS Mission and Code ofEthics and supportive of CHRISTUS Physician Group’s culturaldiversity objectives.
- Supports and adheres toCPG Service Guarantee.
- Performs other relatedwork as required.
Requirements : Education / Skills
Education / Skills
- Graduate of an accredited school ofnursing
- Excellent computer knowledge and skillsthat include data input / abstracting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Word,Excel, and Outlook
Experience
Minimum 2- years ofexperience
Licenses,Registrations, or Certifications
- Registered Nurselicense
- CPR Certification through AmericanHeart Association
