The 12-bed Pulmonary Unit islocated on the 6th floor of the new Main Tower. The clinical staffon Pulmonary work closely with hospitalists, pulmonologists andrespiratory therapists to provide top-notch care for patients withacute and chronic respiratory issues.
In thestate-of-the-art new Main Tower, the Pulmonary nurse provideshigh-quality nursing care to acute care patients utilizing nursingprocesses to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care ofpatients.
He / she functions within the framework of the policies andprocedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growthand accountability.
The Pulmonary nurse is responsible formaintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient careactivities of all assigned staff in the provision of qualitynursing care.
RESPONSIBLE FOR :
The staff nurse provides nursing care topatients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursingprocesses to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care forpatients.
He / she functions within the framework of the policies andprocedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growthand accountability.
The staff nurse is responsible for maintainingstandards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of allassigned staff in the provision of quality nursingcare.
Qualifications :
MINIMUMEDUCATION REQUIRED :
Graduate of a nursingprogram
MINIMUM EXPERIENCEREQUIRED :
New Graduates of a nursing programeligible
MINIMUMLICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW :
CurrentLicense in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC / eNLCMultistate License. BLS certification required.
ADDITIONALQUALIFICATIONS :
Advanced certification in fieldof specialty, if applicable. Bachelor's degree preferred. NursingExperience in Hospital Setting Preferred.
