This Med / Tele Charge Nurse opportunity is full time at 36 hours per week, offers full benefits and a convenient night shift schedule.

This dynamic individual will assume shift responsibility and accountability for the planning and provision of direct and indirect nursing care to the patient, family, care partner and appropriate others.

Coordinates multi-disciplinary team members, directs and facilitates nursing staff in obtaining safe, optimal health care outcomes.

Supports activities that meet the facility vision, mission and goals. Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.

The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.

Job Duties / Responsibilities :

Provides effective leadership for the implementation and improvement of the required components of the patient centered care delivery model.

Example : Bedside report, hourly rounding, etc.).

• Takes a lower acuity assignment as needed to meet unit needs while continuing to serve as a resource and leader for patient care problems.
• Completes unit patient rounds with purpose to evaluate the patient status, perception and quality of care provided. Supports compliance with hourly rounding with purpose to promote nurse communication, improve safety, and anticipate patient needs (i.

e. pain, re-positioning, and toileting). Rounds with purpose including pro-actively evaluating the environment to ensure it is patient friendly and patient safe.

Coordinates the implementation of the interdisciplinary plan of care for assigned patients. Develops goals, treatment plans, and discharge plans that meet individual patient / family needs

Qualifications

• Current Nevada nursing license.
• Current BLS certificate.
• Minimum one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting. One to three years supervisory experience preferred.
• ACLS (or obtained within six months of employment) is required.
• Handle with Care (or obtained within six months of employment) in required speciality.
