The Assistant General Manager (AGM) guided by the General Manager (GM) will be overseeing departments such as front desk, housekeeping, sales, and maintenance. A qualifying AGM candidate will be tasked with ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed in order to uphold company standards.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Management / Supervisory
- Directly supervises the hotel staff. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, directing work, and appraising the performance of employees. Also tasked with resolving employee relations issues and rewarding / disciplining associates.
- Oversees the activities of all staff members in order to ensure adherence to hotel policies and procedures. Reviews all departmental schedules for accuracy and staffing demands.
- Conducts or aids in conducting all weekly, quarterly, and annual meetings.
- Assists General Manager in annual salary review and ensures that all employee wages follow federal, state, and local wage and hour guidelines.
- Performs functions of the General Manager in his or her absence.
Financial Responsibilities and Forecasting
30% of Time
Responsible for completing weekly summary reports for the General Manager.Maintains accurate records of hotels funds and information including, but not limited to, the cash flow sheet, accounts receivable and payable, credit card receipts, and registration information.Reviews vendor invoices.Responsible for employees Time Cards verificationAssists in the preparation of the yearly and quarterly budgets as well as the annual marketing planGuest Service

Offer guests assistance whenever possible.Responsible for resolving escalated customer relations issues.Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel policies and services.Must appropriately address guest requests to ensure customers are satisfied with the hotel's services and accommodations.Responsible for positively representing and promoting the property.Ensures systems and procedures are in place and followed for guest safety and security.Other Duties as Assigned

Fills in for vacant shifts as needed.Assists with sales and marketing efforts as directed by General ManagerSKILLS, EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND, AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience required.Previous experience as an Assistant General Manager highly preferred.2+ years of supervisory and hospitality experience required.Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.Ability to work independently.Excellent communication skills.Able to work a flexible schedule.Job Type : Full-time
