Description
The Client Services Specialist converts documents from various formats to EDGAR-compliant format (HTML), as well as edits documents per client markups or tracked-change Word documents.
Regular communication with clients via email and phone regarding EDGAR jobs is necessary. This position involves client interaction and a very friendly customer service orientation.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Converting and editing Word, Excel, PPT and PDF documents to EDGAR compliant format (SEC acceptable HTML format) for filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
- Process edits to documents accurately and in a timely manner, minimizing errors.
- Contact clients concerning possible errors in filing, such as incorrect dates, missing signatures, missing exhibits, insufficient funds in SEC account, etc.
- Work closely with Manager to determine priorities and workflow.
Customer Service Responsibilities :
- Client relationship management to effectively communicate SEC compliance requirements and filing deadlines.
- Possess exceptional communication skills with the ability to state messages in a clear, understandable manner for customers.
- Proactively reach out to customers and effectively address any needs that arise.
Operational Responsibilities :
- Understand EDGAR process and lifecycle (document conversion, formatting, filing).
- Upload and track documents,
- Submission header builds and checks Quickly identify document types and required submission changes.
- Maintain composure and professional demeanor under pressure while adhering to deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow directions and company guidelines.
Education Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university preferred
Technical Skills :
- Microsoft Office programs
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and PPT
- Experience with GoFiler software preferred
- Familiarity with Adobe products (Acrobat, Photoshop)
- Strong keyboard / typing skills required
- SEC compliance (form-type) and XBRL knowledge a plus
