Job Description

The Manager, U.S. Client Marketing, Merchant / Cobrand, will support client marketing and experiential programs, optimizing the use of Visa's marketing expertise, platforms, and initiatives to help solve our client's business challenges.

The Marketing Manager will deliver marketing solutions, provide thought leadership, and execute programs to grow clients' business and drive revenue.

You will be responsible for planning and executing marketing strategies and partnership initiatives to grow Visa's business with Visa's merchant / cobrand clients through the activation of Visa marketing analyses, platforms / initiatives and strategic use of sponsorship assets.

This manager is responsible for building partnership relationships with the cross-functional team, including Sales, Product, Legal, Analytics and agencies to deliver best-in-class marketing plans that drive business goals for both Visa and its clients.

This Manager must be able to thrive in a fast-moving, highly matrixed environment - a results-oriented and adaptable individual with a positive attitude is desired.

You should have a strong track record of working independently while collaborating with internal team members and external clients.

Additionally, you should have an innate interest in problem-solving and ability to think outside of the box to find solutions.

Essential Functions

You will support the strategy and execution on key marketing advisory topics to drive client business growth, such as lifecycle marketing engagements, best practices, go-to-market recommendations, sponsorship and event marketing, social / digital marketing, etc.

You will support marketing-related project scoping and requirements while aligning with client

You will apply data-driven approach to marketing recommendations leveraging Visa data and industry research tools to capture / communicate marketing best practices and customer insights and present to clients

You will work cross-functionally to develop and implement marketing projects that leverage the best of Visa resources and expertise(e.

g., with Sales, Analytics, Product, Marketing, Legal, etc.)

You will help identify new marketing opportunities for clients and support the creation of effective presentations to pitch to clients

You will lead end-to-end delivery of marketing projects, including the day-to-day prioritization of work across multiple projects, deliverables and stakeholders(e.

g., develop project plan, brief with agencies and agency management, creative development, review process with legal) with limited supervisory support

You will support the key products / marketing initiatives for both Visa and the Client, e.g., NFL / Olympics promotion, product launches, brand refreshes, etc.

You will manage ad hoc requests from key stakeholders, e.g., clients, Visa senior leadership, etc.

You will manage the budget / finance process as part of the marketing campaign execution

You will be responsible for overall project management (including creating and tracking timelines, milestones and tasks)

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership / site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications :

5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.

g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications :

6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.

g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD

  • 5-8years business experience, with majority in marketing or consulting roles that involved project management, marketing or business strategy, and / or event or media activation
  • You have prior experiencein financial services, payments or consulting
  • You have strong executive presence and comfort leading discussions with clients
  • You have strong project management skills
  • You have strong analytical skills and feel comfortable with data
  • Strong written and in-person communication skills
  • You are a team player with experience coordinating cross functional, end-to-end projects that included a high level of detail and ability to ensure project deadlines and budgets are met
  • You are self-motivated and proactive in asking questions / proposing solutions
  • You have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Willingness to travel
  • You have prior experience with merchant or cobrand marketing and / or payment industry and / or consulting experience preferred
  • You have experience with business development and creating effective presentations to pitch ideas to clients
  • You have prior experience managing / executing events
  • You have prior experience in designing and executing multichannel marketing campaigns (e.g., paid social, paid search, email, direct mail, etc.

across the marketing lifecycle (acquisition, usage, retention, loyalty)

Additional Information

Work Hours : Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements : This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental / Physical Requirements : This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY : The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 112,500 to 191,800 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable).

Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
