Security Officer - Industrial Site Patrol - Full Time

As a Security Officer - Industrial Site Patrol - Full Time in Colonial Heights, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.

As a valued team member with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location. In this unarmed patrol position, you will be responsible for conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and providing a reassuring presence for employees and visitors alike. Your responsibilities will include monitoring access points, assisting individuals as needed, and using your communication skills to deliver outstanding customer service. You will also utilize technology such as computers or tablets to support your duties. Job Schedule : Day Time

Tue 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM

Wed 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM

Thur 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM

Sat 04 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM

Sun 04 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the needs of the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activities or potential hazards, communicating findings to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as part of security-related documentation.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and on-site personnel to address security-related concerns and provide assistance as needed.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
