Job Profile Title

Manager Research Project B

Job Description Summary

Individual will work as part of the Carroll laboratory as well as with the Stem Cell and Xenograft Core experiments studying AML therapy using pre-clinical modeling in immunocompromised mice.

Individual will have significant responsibility for completion of work on a recently funded NIH project. Will interact with the PDX Net to help characterize AML xenotransplantation models.

Will also assist with oversight of a large collection of AML tissue banked samples. Will interact extensively with collaborators interested in using AML samples and / or PDX models of AML.

Will interact with pre-clinical development team to optimize assays for clinical translation studies

Job Description

Job Responsibilities

Provides daily operations management of research projects working in collaboration with the Principal Investigator and project teams;

supervises staff, plans meetings and manages budget

  • Develops and manages systems for data collection, quality control and compliance
  • Oversees and manages data for the research projects
  • Prepares financial, regulatory and technical progress reports; drafts articles for publication; prepares data summaries
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Master of Science and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Manager C

Job Responsibilities

  • Include all the responsibilities of Manager B in addition to the following :
  • Oversee day-to-day research project management, coordinate the activities of each research project and support team members
  • Develop, plan and organize all aspects of training, supervising and participating with researchers to collect data
  • Create and oversee operational procedures for data management
  • Create data visualizations and reports on research findings
  • Write grant proposals and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Master of Science and 5 to 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
