Job brief
Our Product Managers work with our Product Development Team and under the leadership of our Chief Product Officer to help Courthouse News continuously improve and optimize its portfolio of internal and subscriber-facing legal news products.
- Success in the role requires a commitment to learning and knowing how our technology works; understanding the competitive landscape and developing trends in legal technology;
- effective communication and collaboration with our software engineers, tech leads, customer support specialists, and business stakeholders;
and deep comprehension of product development principles.
Responsibilities :
- Know the characteristics and goals of your product’s end users
- Gather and analyze quantitative and qualitative feedback from end users and business stakeholders
- Plan and deliver product improvements by writing feature briefs, epics, and user stories
- Regularly review and maintain product backlog
- Participate meaningfully in sprint planning / retrospectives and backlog review sessions
- Write and maintain product documentation
- Perform regular quality assurance testing
- Be able to analyze, troubleshoot, and effectively report product malfunctions (by testing scenarios / reproducing errors)
- Be able to help end users and internal users learn how to use specific product features correctly
- Assist our customer support team in responding to product questions and reported issues
- Conduct regular market research and share key insights
Qualifications :
- Previous experience as a Product Manager or Digital Project Manager
- Demonstrated knowledge of digital product development processes and APIs
- Demonstrated ability to speak and write clearly
- Demonstrated ability to cooperate
