License : Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice. Certifications : BLS - American Heart Association, ACLS / NRP / PALS as appropriate for unit or service.
Must-Have : ASN - Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing; English proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing.
Job Description : Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions according to accepted practice standards defined by the state Board of Nursing.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.- Evaluate health status through the continuous collection and assessment of health data.
- Conduct health teaching and counseling.- Provide therapy and treatment to support and restore life and well-being, both directly to the patient and indirectly, through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching others.
- Execute delegated medical functions and refer patients as necessary for further evaluation or treatment.- Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans to ensure effectiveness.
- Document in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.- Utilize resources effectively to support patient care.
- Promote mission, vision, and values consistent with service behavior standards.- Fulfill additional duties as assigned.
- Potentially float to other departments within competency and qualifications based on business needs.- May be required to be on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.
