Job Details
- LONG TERM CARE RN
- Start Date : ASAP (4 weeks from offer for compliance requirements)
- Shift : 3x12 Night (7pm-7 : 30am)
- Ratios : 8 : 1 days; 13 : 1 nights
- Years of Experience REQ : 2 years of Nursing home / LTC or Home Health preferred. Travel experience is preferred.
- Epic REQ? : 1 year of Epic experience is preferred.

- Guaranteed Hours : 36 per week
- Top 10 Diagnosis / Procedures : CVA, Dementia, RA, Afib, Hip fx, Parkinsons, BKA, PNA, COPD, BKA, Hunntington's dx
- Common Equipment : Hoyer lift, SARA lift, tube feeding pump, IV pump
- This is an LTC unit; however, since it is the only LTC / Nursing Home in the PeaceHealth system, it functions more like an LTAC or step-down unit to MedSurg.
We do not take trach patients, acute rehab, TPN, Bi-PAP, etc. We use a Pyxis medication system to load our Work Stations on Wheels.
We DO NOT USE MedPacks which is what a lot of the LTC’s down south utilize, our Medpass process is a hybrid between a LTC / MedSurg process.
Epic was designed as an acute care EMR and has been modified to accommodate LTC; however, the modifications make the charting labor-intensive.

- 2 years of Nursing home / LTC or Home Health preferred.
- Travel experience is preferred.
