Network Engineering Manager
RoleOverview :
This role isresponsible for delivering IT and OT networks that support plantand warehouse equipment and processes adhering to open industrystandards and implementation models.
It involves specifyingancillary systems like power backup for active / passive networkdevices.
Responsibilities :
- DeliverIT / OT networks for plant / warehouse systems following industrystandards.
- Specifyand support ancillary systems such as batterybackups.
- Networkengineering across various architectures / topologies (e.g. ring busstar).
- Performanalysis architecture design development deployment andmanagement.
- Typicallybased within the customers ITorganization.
This role involves analysisarchitecture development deployment and management within acustomers IT or OTorganization.
Capabilities :
- TechnicalExpertise :
- Deepunderstanding of NETWORK concepts IT / OT applications OSI Level 17network device and system hardware / software and communicationprotocols.
- Developmentand deployment of industrial networkingapplications.
- Documentation :
- Abilityto create clear concise job instruction sheets for technical andnontechnicalpersonnel.
- Proficientin technical writing and documentation including diagrammaticrepresentations of network setups using tools like MicrosoftVisio.
- Communication&Training :
- Strongverbal and written communication skills for effective interactionand instructional contentcreation.
- Abilityto conduct training sessions and workshops forstaff.
- Collaboration&Teamwork :
- Abilityto work closely with team members including IoT engineersproduction engineering andmaintenance.
- IndustryKnowledge :
- Familiaritywith industry best practices andstandards.
- Understandingof compliance and security issues related to edge technologies inindustrialsettings.
- ProjectManagement :
- Industrialproject management design deployment andmaintenance.
- Oversightreporting requirements analysis estimating scoping proposalbuilding and customercommunication.
- Managementof 3rd party / external supplieractivities.
- Deliveryacross 35 differentcustomers.
Education / Training :
- Required : Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) CompTIA Network or similarindustryrecognizedcertifications.
- Optional : 5 years of verified onthejobexperience.
