Job Description : We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Civil Construction Project Manager to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing large-scale civil construction projects and direct experience working with the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT).
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee all aspects of civil construction projects, including planning, execution, and completion.
- Manage project teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to project specifications.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies, including IDOT, to ensure project requirements are met.
- Prepare and present project reports, proposals, and status updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process.
- Ensure all project documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted in a timely manner.
Qualifications :
- Ideally has direct experience working with the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT).
- Proven ability to manage large-scale infrastructure projects from inception to completion.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Skills :
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Familiarity with IDOT standards and specifications.
- Experience with public sector projects and government contracts.
