Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Drywall Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs and timelines of construction projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating, project management, and cost control. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic and growing company in the construction industry.
Duties
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine project requirements
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimates
- Utilize software such as Quick Bid OST to create estimates
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
- Analyze project costs, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead expenses
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budget
- Assist in the development of project schedules and timelines
- Provide support to project teams during the bidding process
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles and techniques
- Proficiency in software such as Quick Bid OST
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications
- Knowledge of project management principles
- Familiarity with cost control methods and practices
