Job Description :

At Regions, the Software Engineer Senior Manager manages two or more large departments within the company and oversees strategy development to ensure the application portfolio meets current business requirements and is operational, stable, and at an appropriate level of technical maturity.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manages all aspects of system design, development, deployment, acquisition, and ongoing maintenance for all application systems within area of responsibility
• Serves as the primary technology contact for senior management from all areas of the organization in developing technology solutions that increase the efficiency of internal business functions, resolves business problems, and supports the pursuit of business opportunities for area of responsibility
• Creates and refines operational processes and systems to ensure effective regulatory and audit compliance
• Applies interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify basic lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions
• Evaluates customer and operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrates technical parameters, and assures compatibility of all interfaces
• Supports the planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of requirements through management processes

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

This position is incentive eligible.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Twelve (12) years of relevant experience
• Three (3) years of supervisory or managerial experience

Experience in Technology role in banking or financial services industry

• Experience running an engineering organization with direct alignment to a core business segment, and their associated P&L.
• Benefit if that alignment was to a wealth management organization.
• Experience leading an organization through a technology re-platforming from an on premise to cloud infrastructure.
• Experience in defining, documenting, and communicating both high- and low-level cloud architectural principles.
• Proficient in speaking to cloud architectural best practices, designing net new systems in a public cloud environment.
• Proficient in modern CI / CD pipeline design and implementation.
• Experience leading the implementation of new operating and engagement models at scale.
• Experience leading organizations and teams aligned to value streams, following a team-based funding methodology.

Additional Skills and Competencies

• Proficient in Agile SDLC methodologies
• Cloud based solutions architecture.
• Financial planning and forecasting.
• Software engineering proficiency (C#, NodeJS, React)
• DevOps familiarity with CI / CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (GitHub actions, Terraform, CloudFormation, Harness)
• Data engineering, familiarity with cloud data warehouses. (Snowflake, ETL Tooling)
• Cybersecurity, best practices, and tools.
• Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to market and sell technical concepts and strategy to non-technical stakeholders.

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include : experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role.

As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

Incentive Pay Plans :

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary incentive plan. Employees are eligible to receive a discretionary award based on individual, business, and / or company performance.
