We are seeking skilled and experienced 2nd Shift Machinists for a leading manufacturer. The ideal candidates for this position will have a strong background in CNC machining and be able to work independently to set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, and Citizens (Swiss) machines.
Key Responsibilities :
- Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, and Citizens (Swiss) machines to produce high-quality parts according to specifications
- Plan and construct fixtures and tools for use in the machining process
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery as needed
- Interpret and work from existing programs, equipment manuals, prints, work orders, and instructions
- Monitor and maintain machine performance to ensure efficiency and accuracy
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the machining process
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and increase productivity
- Meet production goals and deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of experience operating CNC lathes
- 4+ years of experience setting up and running CNC Mills
- Feature Cam or Fusion 360 programming knowledge and experience is a plus
- Knowledge of basic machine skills (such as lathes, grinders, EDM sinkers, mills)
- CAD / CAM knowledge is helpful but not required
- Able to read micrometers, gauges, and comparators
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and GD&T
- Strong understanding of machining principles and techniques
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Experience with Fanuc and Haas controls is a plus
- Must be able to lift to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
