Technical Manager of Software Engineering - Java Full Stack

As a Technical Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology - Corporate Oversight & Governance team, you lead multiple teams and manage day-to-day implementation activities by identifying and escalating issues and ensuring your team's work adheres to compliance standards, business requirements, and tactical best practices.

Job responsibilities

• Provides guidance to immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activities
• Conduct regular code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality and foster continuous improvement
• Sets the overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaboration
• Anticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements
• Manages stakeholder relationships and the team's work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements
• Creates a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect for the team members and prioritizes diverse representation

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience. In addition, demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience
• Extensive experience as a technical manager in a software engineering environment
• Experience working at code level in one or more programming languages : Java, Spring Boot, JPA, SQL, REST, Angular / React
• Experience leading technology projects
• Proficient in automation and continuous delivery methods
• Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI / CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
• Practical cloud native experience working with microservices and distributed transaction management

Exposure to cloud technologies : AWS
