About the Team

The Sales Compliance team is responsible for designing and ensuring effective Sales Compliance and Controls across DoorDash's sales organization.

The Sales Compliance team is part of the larger Sales Strategy & Operations team, which accelerates productivity and develops go-to-market strategies and processes to support our sales organization.

This group builds the engine and foundation for DoorDash to achieve the best selection for our platform and grow revenues across all business lines.

About the Role

We are seeking a Sales Compliance Associate Manager to draw actionable insights from large financial data sets, drive order-to-cash process improvements, and lead cross-functional compliance projects.

You will understand the internal processes that drive data inputs and quality, enabling you to root cause compliance, reporting, contract, and system issues.

You will drive initiatives with a high level of quality with minimal guidance. You will diagnose and define net new projects or business needs for the team.

You will also work directly with our sales team to understand and remediate compliance issues.

You will report to the Senior Manager on our Sales Compliance team in our Merchant Sales Operations organization. We expect this role to be hybrid, with some time in-office and some remote.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will...

  • Work cross-functionally with analytics, sales, product, accounting, audit, finance and legal teams
  • Develop and scale process improvements
  • Create actionable insights for larger sets of data
  • Get to the lowest level of details to deeply understand DoorDash's products and systems
  • Help eliminate DoorDash's third-party risk from a legal and financial perspective
  • Directly impact DoorDash's ability to recognize revenue and audit internal controls
  • Be tasked with reconciling numerous lines of revenue data to contracts in various Doordash systems
  • Use various methods, including excel queries and researching various databases
  • Be comfortable analyzing the results of the reconciliation, identifying trends and researching reasons for outliers
  • Present results in a timely manner to key stakeholders and make recommendations for improvements

We're excited about you because...

  • You have 4+ years relevant experience as a senior auditor, senior financial analyst, data analyst, or similar field
  • You have experience in process improvement and optimization.
  • You are highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups)
  • You can move quickly and desire to own projects from day one
  • You pay attention to detail
  • You have the ability to document processes clearly and concisely.
  • You have time management and organizational skills
  • You are a strong communicator with the ability to interact and build trust across all levels of the business
  • You can work on significant and unique issues requiring analysis of situations or data
  • You have the ability to exercise independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
