Description
Northwestern Medicine has an exciting opportunity for either a Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant to work in our Urogynecology clinic.
The position is 100% outpatient; however, in the event that a surgical patient needs to stay over for observation, the APP may need to round on the patient.
This has happened once in the last 6 months.
The Northwestern Medicine Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery program has a total of 5 APPs, including this one.
The other 4 APPs work in different locations but meet weekly and collaborate as needed. On a day-to-day basis the APP will come into the office with a daily load of patients.
Prior to clinic start, Epic inbasket messages are reviewed which include results, refills requests, patient calls, etc. This work is done in collaboration with the RN.
Patient care is supported by the RN. The appointments could be a mix of diagnostic testing, post op visits, pessary fittings, etc.
