Brothers Three is a neighborhood standard on the east side of Madison serving breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week. Find midwest comfort foods and local favorites in a comfortable setting, complete with a full patio for good weather. Brothers Three is part of a growing restaurant group that promotes from within offering opportunities in culinary leadership, upper management, and human resources.

The General manager oversees daily operations and all aspects of the business at this location including :

  • Customer service & hospitality. Works on the floor, balancing revenue expectations and customer service expectations.
  • Food & beverage quality, menu development, and pricing
  • Human Relations standards
  • Hiring, training & scheduling staff–defining staff roles and job descriptions
  • Strategic planning for sales growth and cost control
  • Payroll and purchasing budgets
  • Cost control and inventories
  • Wine, beer and liquor selection, beverage training and education, purchasing
  • Reservations systems, point of sales, and online ordering systems
  • Soliciting customer feedback to incorporate into quality assurance procedures
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with guests, customers, purveyors, stakeholders, and community partners
  • Implementation of systems for safety compliance, maintenance, and cleanliness
  • Standards for special events & rentals
  • Complete knowledge, understanding and implementation of company policies & procedures
  • Creating a positive working environment and workplace culture

REQUIREMENTS

3+ years of previous restaurant experience with in-person dining

2+ years of previous restaurant experience managing staff in a leadership role

History of working with and building strong teams

POS setup and maintenance

Managing budgets and understanding P&L

Staff scheduling

Experienced host, FOH manager, or maitre d’

Proven success in past employment

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Bartending experience with craft beer, wine, and premium spirits

Knowledge of restaurant reservations systems such as Opentable, Resy or Tock
