Overview

The Associate Director, Advanced Analytics and Data Strategy will be a key leader within the Commercial Analytics team, responsible for driving advanced analytics and insights generation for cross functional teams in Commercial with a focus for the strategic account management team.

In addition, they will drive other analyses related to product launch, competitor insights, and LRP. The ideal candidate will foster synergy among all customer-facing teams, ensuring a unified and seamless customer journey.

This role will interact regularly with internal stakeholders and external agencies and define and propose appropriate data and technology solutions for key business challenges, always with a focus on enhancing the customer journey and fostering a culture of innovation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the development and execution of IDN-focused analytic strategies to enhance customer experience and drive innovation.

  • Collaborate closely with marketing, training, Strategic Account Managers (SAM), SAM operations, Sales Operations, and National account director teams to enhance field strategy and improve customer-centric experience.
  • Refine and adapt targeting and lead programs to reflect the unique dynamics of strategic accounts, while building analytic plans and performing analysis using tools such as SQL, dbt, and R or Python to strengthen IDN insights and support organizational initiatives.
  • Compliantly leverage commercial data assets to support planning, execution, and enhancement of customer experience and IDN-focused initiatives.

2. Drive data strategy and lead cross-functional collaboration to support customer-facing teams and ensure alignment with commercial objectives.

  • Collaborate with data strategy and governance leads to source, onboard, and integrate new data as needed to support customer-facing teams
  • Co-design of KPIs to monitor and analyze commercial performance. Use data to identify improvement opportunities, fostering a culture of continuous innovation.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration efforts with medical affairs, marketing, sales, SAM, patient services, legal and compliance, data management, to strategic ensure alignment and effective execution

3. Perform other commercial analytics to inform strategic planning, product launches, competitive positioning and market access

  • Perform ad-hoc commercial analytics to inform decision making across commercial value chain such as inputs for LRP, launch metrics, market access analytics.
  • Compliantly leverage internal data assets to provide intelligence on key customers e.g. analog assessments, volume and geographic considerations, utilization management trends, customer and competitor intelligence
  • Contribute to shaping and generating timely brand specific market access analytics in response to specific market access issues and trends

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 9 years of experience in analytics or strategic roles within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industry, with a strong focus on market access and strategic account strategy.
  • Direct experience shaping, influencing, and implementing strategic account strategy, with a focus on customer experience enhancements and innovation.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data analytics, performing complex analyses, and generating actionable insights.
  • Proficiency with data transformation and analytics tools such as SQL, dbt, and R or Python; understanding of machine learning and AI techniques is a plus.
  • Experience with EHR, administrative claims, and laboratory data (e.g., IQVIA, Komodo, Symphony claims data).
  • Demonstrated ability to drive to deadlines, balance multiple priorities, and ensure quality standards. Project management experience is a plus.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, capable of engaging and influencing stakeholders across various levels, with a focus on customer experience.
  • Experience working directly with Field Teams and familiarity with CRM, lead generation tools, and next best action enablement strategies.
  • Excellent attention to detail, innovative thinking, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills are strongly preferred
