Private Equity Associate Attorney – Chicago

Direct Counsel is seeking a Private Equity Associate Attorney to join a top-ranked Am Law 100 firm in Chicago. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile private equity and M&A transactions in one of the nation’s most dynamic markets.

The Opportunity

The Associate Attorney will focus on advising private equity firms, strategic buyers, and sellers on complex M&A matters, both locally and nationally. This position is ideal for candidates who have dedicated the majority of their practice to private equity or M&A work and are eager to further develop their experience within a sophisticated platform.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support significant M&A and private equity transactions.

Advise clients on strategic and financial matters throughout the deal lifecycle.

Collaborate with colleagues across practice groups on multi-disciplinary transactions.

Provide high-quality, timely client service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

2–6 years of private equity and / or M&A experience at a leading corporate law firm.

Strong academic credentials.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Licensed to practice law in Illinois.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary range : $235,000 – $390,000 , depending on experience.
