American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of acute care cardiac cath and interventional radiology experience and RCIS certification.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in an acute care hospital setting within a Level II trauma facilityDepartment covers both Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology cases3 procedure suites with an average of 4-5 cases per dayPatient population includes those with cardiac, vascular, and interventional radiology needs such as compression fractures, venous access, chest pain, pulmonary embolism, DVT, and moreProcedures include intra-procedural circulating, supply / medication management, and sedation for cardiac and IR interventionsUses Epic and Apollo cardiac charting systems; Epic experience is valuedSiemens equipment is utilized in the departmentShift is 4x10 hour days, 07 : 00-17 : 30, with supervisor-approved schedulingCall is required, including a minimum of 10 weeknights and 2 weekends per contract; 30-minute response time to primary campusFloating for call coverage is required across three campuses as neededDuties include procedural support, supply and medication management, sedation, and emergency cardiac and IR interventions such as STEMI stabilizationWork in a versatile lab prepared for high-acuity emergencies including IABP support1 week orientation provided, including unit-specific and on-call trainingRadiation badge provided; surgical green scrubs requiredFloating to all three campuses may occur for on-call and daily needsArtificial fingernails are prohibited in patient care areasA 50-mile residence radius rule applies; local candidates must live outside this radiusRTO (up to 7 days per 13-week contract) must be requested up front; further RTO not approved post-hireHoliday call coverage required as scheduledMinimum of 2 professional references, including one supervisor from past 12 months and another from the last 3 years, are needed for consideration\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum 2 years recent experience in hospital-based cardiac cath and interventional radiologyRCIS, BLS, and ACLS certifications requiredActive state or compact licensure required at time of consideration; license required if applicableExperience with Siemens equipment and Epic EMR preferredKnowledge of circulating and sedation in interventional proceduresDriver’s license required for eligibility verification and to meet radius rulesMust be able to respond to call within 30 minutes of home campusMust not have been employed (full, part time or PRN) by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity within the past year\n Benefits\n
