Systems Administrator
Description
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is looking for a System Administrator to provide ongoing support to ensure the continued operations, maintenance, and evolution of the Homeland Secure Data Network (HSDN) and the Classified Local Area Network (C-LAN).
We are searching for a qualified candidate to bring their troubleshooting and organizational skills to maintain rugged edge networking solutions in support of key principals within the DHS organization.
The ideal candidate will have a background in Cisco networking and preferably Juniper experience as well.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support DHS Classified IT infrastructure data, voice, and video systems.
- Provide technical expertise to resolve networking events and tickets, as well as update and configure equipment while maintaining a configuration management process throughout the systems life cycle.
- Provide remote operations and administration as well as some local on-site maintenance as required in support of secure voice, data, and video services.
Security Clearance Requirement :
- Must possess current / active US Top Secret Clearance for consideration.
- Must be willing to obtain SCI.
- US Citizenship required
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 4 - 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters degree with 2 - 6 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience with ticketing systems, Active Roles and Configuration Manager.
- Desire to work in a diverse, dynamic, and demanding work environment, with the capability to work both independently and with internal / external teams.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, with a focus on Customer Engagement.
Preferred Qualifications
- A+ Certification, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), or equivalents.
- Experience providing support to VIP customers.
- DHS or other government contract experience.

Pay Range :
Pay Range $68,900.00 - $124,550.00
