Salary : Starting at $18.00 per hour

Looking for a team-oriented leader to join our Housekeeping team at our French Quarter II resort in Branson, Missouri !

Work Type : Full-time, year-round.

Work Hours : 8AM - 4 : 30PM. 40 hours a week.

This position requires weekend availability (both Saturday and Sunday).

Position Summary :

Inspect guest rooms, public areas, pool, etc. after being cleaned by Housekeeper to ensure quality standards. Verify room status, prioritize room cleaning, determine, document, & resolve room discrepancies, as well as update status of departing guest rooms. Act as a liaison to coordinate the efforts of Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry. Prepare, distribute, and communicate changes in assignment sheets / workboards. Communicate issues to next shift. Complete required paperwork.

Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period.

Key Duties / Accountabilities

  • Reports Work Related accidents or other injuries to management, Ensures Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) are up to date and ensure the compliance of employees.
  • Follows Hazardous Materials Management Program protocols when handling disposal of any chemical, pesticide, bloodborne pathogens, etc., Wear PPE when needed, Checks ODH
  • Updates Front Desk-Housekeeping Daily Worksheet.
  • Plans and posts housekeeping, laundry, and houseman schedules to ensure adequate service.
  • Schedules routine carpet / tile cleaning and deep cleaning of rooms.
  • Prepares room assignments for rooms to be cleaned.
  • Takes inventory of housekeeping supplies, equipment, and chemicals and orders replacements as needed.
  • Issues supplies and equipment to employees.
  • Informs and works with Maintenance department regarding Maintenance concerns and / or problems found in the Resort or in individual rooms. Reports status to the front desk.
  • Investigates complaints regarding housekeeping service and takes corrective action.
  • Schedules midweek cleans for stay-overs and daily service rooms.
  • Attends periodic staff meetings with other department heads to discuss company policies and any patrons complaints and to make recommendations to improve service and to ensure efficient operations.
  • Has knowledge of all areas of responsibility and equipment for housekeeping.
  • Lost & Found : Date and tag room number, if known, of all lost and found items left in rooms or on property.
  • Bring items to the Head Housekeeper and report lost and found items to the Front Desk.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees. Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain conf identicality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
  • Directly supervises a staff of 10 to 15 employees in the housekeeping department. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performances; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • Physical Demands

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.; or one to three months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One Year of Work-Related Experience.
  • Minimum of One year of supervisory experience.
