Primary Responsibilities :
- Provide 1 : 1 ABA services, under the supervision of a Board Certified and Licensed Behavior Analyst (BCBA®)
- Teach a range of skills (e.g., communication, social, leisure and play, functional life skills, etc.) using science-based procedures
- Collect data and summarize client performance and behaviors
- Collaborate with our BCBAs® and other behavior technicians to ensure the best outcomes for our clients
Additional Roles and Responsibilities :
- Be eager to learn and implement ABA principles and procedures
- Uphold the core values of Summit Behavioral Services (respect, integrity, service, and excellence)
- Willingness to work with children and adolescents who may display disruptive, aggressive, and / or non-cooperative behavior
- Demonstrate professional communication skills and willingness to work collaboratively with others
- Foster a fun and encouraging environment for clients
Requirements :
- Must pass a background check, be at least 21 years old, have reliable transportation, and at least a high-school diploma
- Be eager and willing to uphold the core values of Summit and to learn and implement ABA principles and procedures
- Pass the Registered Behavior Technician® exam, within 6 months of employment
Preferred candidates have :
- Bachelor's degree or are in pursuit of degree
- Background in applied behavior analysis, psychology, education, or speech and language pathology, and experience as a behavior technician or experience working with children
