Position Summary
The electrical technician will be responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical equipment / systems for refrigerated cases.
Essential Duties / Job Responsibilities (Job Duties)
- Use job specific tools and equipment to wire refrigerated cases as per specifications
- Identify, troubleshoot, and replace malfunctioning electrical devices and equipment as needed.
- Conduct preventative electrical maintenance of systems.
- Properly label system components.
- Inspect and test system operation of newly installed electrical systems.
- Assemble new electrical components and equipment
Minimum Qualifications / Skills :
- High School Degree or GED
- Basic knowledge of the National Electrical Code
- Electrical certification preferred
- Knowledge of electrical theory and installation techniques
- Basic math skills
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, diagrams, and schematics
- Ability to work independently within a team environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to skillfully and safely operate job specific tools and equipment
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
- Strong verbal communication skills.
Experience :
- A minimum of 1-2 years of electrical experience as an electrical apprentice, technician or equivalent
- Experience in a light manufacturing setting preferred
Requirements :
- Work environment and working conditions are reflective of a light manufacturing setting.
- Perform work on concrete floors for duration of shift.
- Will be working with electrical parts and electricity.
- Must be able to lift and move (push, pull, carry) items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to raise arms above shoulders regularly and freely rotate arms / shoulders to lift / move parts.
- Must be able to kneel, crouch, stoop, bend and squat when needed.
- Work will include repetitive hand, arm, wrist, and leg motion.
- Will need hand and finger flexibility and dexterity and excellent eyesight with or without corrective lenses.
