Role Summary :

  • This position will work with the Frothy Sales Team to grow customer business through training and development, highlighting our brand value through expertise, warmth, premium products, and personalised customer service.
  • This person will need to be self-driven and prompt, with the ability to plan and schedule customer visits and follow ups.
  • You must also possess exceptional communication skills, the ability to work within a team and independently, be a strong brand ambassador with customers and guests, while representing Frothy Monkey Coffee Roasting Co. with passion, positivity, and expert product knowledge.
  • This is the team member that ensures that the customers who are buying our coffee are fully supported to properly brew and serve it, based on our standards.   3-5 years of retail and customer relationship development experience required as a barista, in the restaurant and hospitality fields.

This role requires in-depth knowledge of customer business types, operational flow, unique coffee programs, passion for coffee, and ability to tell the brand’s unique story and recommend products and service offerings through hands-on field engagement with customers and communication.    Reports to :

  • Director of Sales and Business Development (Jamie Frantz) Hours of Operation : Monday - Friday, approximately 8 : 00am - 4 : 00pm.
  • Start each day at the Roastery.

    • Full Time :

  • 40 hours a week Pay : $60,000 annually (exempt / salaried), plus full health, dental, and vision insurance available, and lunch.
  • Paid vacation time and retirement packages are available after 1 year of employment.
  • Field expenses including gas mileage will be reimbursed through Expensify.

    • Frothy Monkey Gift Card for $100 per month for use at Frothy Monkey cafes.  Role Responsibilities :

  • Wholesale Client Trainings and Development (off-site and on-site) Host and lead training classes at customer locations and at the Frothy Training Facility for new / current customers that need training and / or clients interested in advancing their skills of milk steaming, latte art, and pulling shots, e.g., higher level barista expertise (included in our Barista Training Curriculum documents) Utilize our Barista Training Curriculum, tailor documents and edit / update Wholesale Training Guides Achieve increased market visibility, brand awareness, and sales performance through strategic initiatives and creative ideas (maintain relationships) Supporting the Sales Reps by consulting with new clients on coffee bar needs, best practices, and workflow.
  • Be thoroughly knowledgeable and build strong rapport with the key decision makers for all accounts Lead Coffee Cuppings with potential new customers, Free Public Cuppings, and paid Private Cuppings, primarily at our Facility, but also the occasional cupping at a customer’s location Work with the Sales Team on new store openings, supporting our customers with opening orders and hands-on support, if needed.
  • Assist with non-tech related calls that involve equipment usage, cleaning and other diagnostic conversations Seasonal (quarterly) beverage development - create new drinks that are trending and will compliment our product line up for Wholesale Customers.
  • Work with Sales Reps and Marketing Specialist to ensure timely communication and roll-out of seasonal beverages to our customers Keeping Cupping Room and Training Room clean, organized, and stocked with supplies Schedule customer touches with Sales Reps, to connect with customers on a weekly / monthly / quarterly basis based off priorities and business dynamics to maintain quality standards, with reliable availability to the customer via phone or email.
  • Report to all weekly Sales Meetings.
  • Confident in contributing to the development and on-camera presentation of training videos Work with Production Team / Warehouse to identify and optimize coffee / tea / allied products (paper goods / smallwares / sauces / syrups, etc) shipments to wholesalers.
  • Help facilitate customer communication on product changes, rollouts, and temporary outages   Quality Control Contribute to weekly Production Cuppings, helping to monitor quality and consistency of coffee batches and to stay abreast of new coffee releases Participate in weekly Espresso QC session, to help determine parameters for espresso shots Create a system for checking on coffee quality of select “Happily Brewing” Frothy Monkey wholesale accounts   Grocery Help assist Sales Team with grocery store resets, and to support our brand in the field Execute Grocery Demos / Tastings in various grocery store locations to increase and promote brand awareness.
  • Demos scheduled by Sales Reps In grocery stores, facing product, check for expired dates, and report shelf photos to Sales Rep, and any immediate issues to a grocery manager at store level.
