Energy Efficiency Data Analyst

Location : New Jersey, Newark

Hybrid Up to 3 days in the office

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Energy Efficiency Data Analyst to join our team. This role is critical in supporting our client’s energy efficiency programs by analyzing large datasets, developing performance reports, and providing actionable insights that inform decision-making.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, experience with energy efficiency programs, and the ability to translate complex data into meaningful information for various stakeholders.

Responsibilities :

Data Collection & Management :

Gather, clean, and manage large datasets related to energy efficiency programs from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

Develop and maintain databases to support ongoing data needs for energy efficiency reporting and analysis.

Work with IT teams to ensure data integration and availability across different platforms.

Data Analysis & Reporting :

Analyze energy efficiency program data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.

Develop and produce regular reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) for energy efficiency programs.

Perform statistical analyses to evaluate the effectiveness of energy efficiency measures and forecast potential outcomes.

Energy Savings Analysis :

Conduct detailed energy savings analyses to assess the impact of various energy efficiency initiatives.

Collaborate with engineers and program managers to validate energy savings assumptions and methodologies.

Prepare energy savings reports for internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring clarity and accuracy.

Performance Monitoring & Optimization :

Monitor the performance of energy efficiency programs, identifying areas where improvements can be made.

Provide recommendations based on data analysis to optimize program performance and achieve energy savings goals.

Support continuous improvement efforts by developing new analytical models and approaches.

Collaboration & Communication :

Work closely with program managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure data analysis aligns with program objectives.

Present analytical findings to senior management and clients, providing clear and actionable insights.

Support cross-functional teams with ad-hoc data requests and analysis as needed.

Advanced Analytics & Innovation :

Utilize advanced analytics tools and techniques to enhance the depth and breadth of energy efficiency analyses.

Stay current with industry trends, data analytics advancements, and best practices in energy efficiency.

Explore and implement new data analysis tools and methodologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of reporting.

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the energy or utilities sector.

Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, or R.

Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly and concisely.

Knowledge of energy efficiency programs and measures is highly preferred.
