Purpose
The Wildflower Center is seeking a temporary receptionist to assist with greeting guests and volunteers, answering the phone, distributing mail, and other administrative tasks.
The ideal candidate will provide top-notch, friendly customer service in a welcoming manner, prioritize guest satisfaction, and demonstrate strong attention to detail, all while championing our mission and goals.
Job Responsibilities
Receptionist duties such as greeting guests and volunteers and connecting them with the appropriate parties , and answering our main phone line , directing incoming calls and returning or forwarding voicemail messages.
Distribute the mail and log donations. Maintain the mailroom so it remains clean and organized.
Receive supply orders and sign for deliveries.
Monitor the office and kitchen supply inventory, notifying your supervisor in a timely manner when items need to be replenished.
Maintain the kitchen and break room areas.
Routine office administration support, and internal meeting and event support.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
At least 3 years of clerical experience.
At least 1 year of experience at the senior office assistant level.
Experience successfully multitasking in a high-traffic area.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Positive, collaborative, and proactive demeanor.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Reliable transportation.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working in an organization that serves the public.
Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and Box.
Salary Range
$ 18.00 per hour (firm)
Working Conditions
May work around standard office conditions.
May sit or stand for long periods of time.
Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation.
Prolonged screen time.
Use of manual dexterity.
Work Shift
8 : 30-12 : 30, Monday-Friday
The work schedule is no more than 19 hours per week and will vary with business needs .

Employment Eligibility :

Retirement Plan Eligibility :
The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
