The UCLA Master of Applied Economics Program in Department of Economics invites highly qualified applicants for a Lecturer position for the Spring 2019 quarter (April 1, 2019 - June 30, 2019).
This position is temporary, non-senate, and non-tenure track. The candidate will teach Econ 410 : Economists in Action, a writing-intensive course in which assignments and discussions link lectures from the program's renowned guest speakers with economic theory and real-world events.
The candidate will also assist in the writing and development of students' capstone projects which serve as the students' thesis and is required for program completion.
Applicants are expected to have a postgraduate degree and a background in expository economic writing for a variety of professional audiences, including : banks, state and federal government agencies, large corporations, and consulting firms.
