General Summary :

The Medical Records Coordinator is responsible for assembling patient information into patients' medical records accurately and completely.

Responsible for chart migration and administrative support.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities :

  • Scan records into the chart
  • Filing into the EMR system.
  • Prioritizing daily tasks, and responding in a timely fashion to urgent requests.
  • Completes tasks correctly and accurately with attention to detail.
  • Confidentially maintains information.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications : Education :

Education :

High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate required.

Experience :

1-2 years of Healthcare Administration experience

Knowledge :

  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology
  • Experience with EPIC / APEX
  • Must have good interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and positively, written, verbal, and via multi-lined telephone system
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instruction
  • Possess excellent typing / keyboarding skills; knowledge of computer systems and applications.
