MVP Air Conditioning, Heating, Electric and Plumbing is seeking a skilled and experienced Residential HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in residential properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems in residential settings
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with HVAC equipment
- Perform routine maintenance checks and preventative maintenance
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and specifications
- Install and connect electrical components and wiring
- Test electrical circuits and components to ensure compatibility and safety
- Comply with all relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Educate homeowners on proper HVAC system operation and maintenance
- Collaborate with other technicians (e.g., plumbers, electricians) as needed
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
- Respond to emergency service calls in a timely manner
Qualifications :
Valid HVAC technician certification preferred (e.g., NATE, EPA Section 608)3+ years of experience in residential and commercial HVAC installation and service preferredStrong knowledge of HVAC systems, including heat pumps, furnaces, and air conditionersFamiliarity with electrical systems and components related to HVACProficiency in using various hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipmentAbility to read and understand technical manuals and blueprintsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent communication and customer service skillsValid driver's license and clean driving recordAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spacesComfortable working at heights and in various weather conditionsEducation :
High school diploma or equivalentCompletion of an accredited HVAC training program or apprenticeship - preferredBenefits :
